What is BSC Agriculture
It is a 4 years degree programme that you can pursue at any college or university of your choice depending on the facilities they provide at the time of admission and after the classes.
Is it right to do BSC Agriculture in 2022?
It depends on your choice and interests because if you take admission in agricutlure due to family pressure or by listening that 'there is too much scope in agriculture' then you should not study and do not waste your 4 precious years of life.
Who am I to say this ?
I am an Agriculture graduate and a Youtuber who guides the students to take admission in their desired fields of study. I know some of the bitter truths that new students in this fields as not aware of.
getting jobs in agriculture fields in not so easy till now because there are very less comapanies to hire but a lot of students who claim the job.
Jobs After BSC Agriculture:
There are numerous posts that are an option for the graduates:
- Agriculture Field Officer : The most common post that everyone you will ask might answer with.
- Sugarcane officer : In the regions where sugarcane is produced in a large quantity , they need a manager who knows about the production technologies and can deal with the problems in the can field.
- Cotton officer : Cotton cathes insects easily so the company requires a good agronomist that can look after the field and can help the owner to get a good production.
- Farm manager : In the states where people have big farms like in Punjab, the companies contacts the farmer and take their field on lease then they hire a farm manager who can cultivate the crop that the company wants and you get paid some of the profit from your hardwork.
- Dairy Officer : India is a big country and we need a huge amount of milk to consume in our daily life and thats why we have some big names in India for milk that sell milk and they hire agriculture students to work as dairy officers.Your work may differ from farm to farm and lab to lab depending on the company's needs.
- There are too many jobs in agriculture that would be also added in this list.
Conclusion
India has a big potential in agriculture sector and the students who are studying agriculture or are planning to get into agriculture sector will have a good scope in agriculture in india because it is spreading with time. In 2022 , there are not much oppurtuities in agriculture but by the year 2035 , there would be plenty of jobs in Agriculture.
